"YARD'S SPRING TRIPLE TIPPLE" - A massively-hopped Spring Ale using Slovenian hops and best British malts is awarded "BEST of FESTIVAL" at Darlington's Spring Thing Beer Fest, Mar 18-20th.
"ONE FOOT IN THE YARD" - wins Wear Valley Camra BEER of the YEAR 2010 for the second year running!!
Our first beer "FIRST YARD" is a 3.8% session bitter, dark copper in colour, a smooth, roasted finish with delicate hop/malt aroma.
"ONE FOOT IN THE YARD" is a golden, premium ale at 4.5% abv. If you like a beer with a fruity, robust character then this is for you. It is made using the finest crystal and pale malts and hopped with Pilgrim hops. BEER of the FESTIVAL at Darlo Camra Rhythm & Brews Festival 2008 and Wear Valley Camra Beer of the Year 2009.
"BLACK AS OWT STOUT" is now available in The Surtees Arms. This dark, traditional stout made its debut at our Hallowe'en festival and was an immediate hit. At 4.2% it offers a thirst-quenching alternative with roasted coffee flavours and a medium-bitter finish.
"YARD HELLES LAGERBIER" Summer 2010 seasonal - a continental-style lager beer brewed with lager malts, hops and yeast to create a smooth, easy-drinking pale beer - perfect for hot, lazy days..
YARD HOPPER - our 4% pale ale is available from March through to September and is brewed using our own combination of locally grown Northdown and Early Bird hops. A perfect ale when you need something clear, crisp and refreshing.
Y'ARD ASS BITTER, a 4.2% ruby-red ale, launched October 09. This ale is brewed using the finest English malts and hops. It has a pleasing rich, malty flavour and bitterness.
YARDS AHEAD IPA, launched in July 2009. A pale golden 4.2% ale, juicy malts on the tongue and a spicy-hop aroma leading to a bitter finish.
WINTER'S YARD - is available to all real ale outlets, between December and March. It's a 4.6% winter warmer, brewed with an infusion of winter spices to produce a pleasing aroma and smoothly satisfying mid-bitter finish.
