Our first beer "First Yard" is a 3.8% session bitter, dark copper in colour, a smooth, roasted finish with delicate hop/malt aroma.

Our second beer "One Foot in the Yard" is a golden, premium ale at 4.5% abv. If you like a beer with a fruity, robust character then this is for you. It is made using the finest crystal and pale malts and hopped with Target and Cascade hops.

BEER of the FESTIVAL at Darlo Camra Rhythm & Blues Festival 2008

Our third beer, "Black as Owt Stout" is now available in The Surtees Arms. This dark, traditional stout made its debut at our Hallowe'en festival and was an immediate hit. At 4.2% it offers a thirst-quenching alternative with roasted coffee flavours and a medium-bitter finish.

YARD HOPPER - a 4% pale ale is available from March 09 and is brewed using our own combination of locally grown hops. A perfect ale when you need something clear, crisp and refreshing.

WINTER'S YARD - is available to all real ale outlets, between December and March. It's a 4.6% winter warmer, brewed with an infusion of winter spices to produce a pleasing aroma and smoothly satisfying mid-bitter finish.
